THE 2011 MICHIGAN PRE-COLLEGE AND
YOUTH OUTREACH CONFERENCE
A Call to Action: Building a College Going Culture
Monday, November 14, 2011
The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
The Michigan Pre-College and Youth Outreach Conference provides participants an opportunity to engage with professionals working in pre-college programming and university-based youth outreach as well as leaders in youth development, higher education, and K-12 education as we share and learn more about the role of postsecondary institutions in preparing Michigan’s youth for the future.
At the core of the conference is the promotion of academic excellence, access to higher education, and diversity; the strengthening of substantive partnerships between the universities and school systems within the State of Michigan; and the development of new community outreach initiatives that prepare students for academic excellence in post-secondary education and strengthen the pathways to college.
